In spring and summer of 2026, Haller Lake United Methodist Church is entering into agreements with Habitat for Humanity- Seattle/King and Kittitas Counties to construct new permanently affordable family-sized housing. Habitat has a strong history of building affordable housing in the area and maintaining it at permanently affordable rates in perpetuity.

Habitat always needs volunteers!
Be a part of creating affordable homes in the Haller Lake neighborhood and beyond.

Participate in a Build Day, organize a group to help, attend their annual gala luncheon, donate to the store, and get to know new neighbors.

Habitat Homeowners
Homeowners are selected based on applications submitted about six months before occupancy can begin

Homeowners will demonstrate income at 60-80% of the area median income.

They will not have owned homes in the last three years.

They will occupy their units and agree not to sublet them.

They will not run businesses from their homes that require traffic to the home.

Preference is given for people with a connection to the community.
