Spiritual Gardening: An Experiential Workshop

Whether you are an avid vegetable gardener, a tender of roses, a frequent park walker, or an indoor houseplant enthusiast, you are invited to explore how our connection with plants, soil, and water enhance and enliven our spiritual lives. In addition to what we receive both extrinsically and intrinsically from gardening, there is much we can learn and do to protect and promote a healthier garden and the larger ecosystem around us.
Marty Wingate, local author, radio garden expert, and garden travel guide will share her wealth of knowledge on good gardening practices, plant selection, and more. Jenny Partch, director of Faith Community Outreach at Haller Lake UMC, will guide spiritual gardening experiences and hands-on meditation exercises to take home.
