Dan Whitmarsh grew up in Shoreline, graduated from what is now Shoreline Christian School (the whole way K-12) and played in the Shoreline Community College Concert Band a couple of summers. Paul attended Haller Lake UMC and participated in the youth choirs and the brass quartet.
Music in the concert will span from the culmination of the Renaissance in the early 1600's, through the continuing refinement of the Baroque period of the 1700's, the exploration of the Romantic era in the 1800's, to popular music from the 1900's. Italian, German, Russian, Spanish, and American composers will be represented on a program that includes Bach, Sousa and Bernstein. Music will range from lyrical to lively, expressed by the unique blending of brass instruments.
