Angelo Rondello, piano
Angelo Rondello will present a program that mixes sparkling and graceful impressionist masterpieces by Debussy, Liszt, and Ravel with the darkness and mystery of Scriabin's"Black Mass" Sonata, and will close with Samuel Barber's riveting and massive Sonata for Piano. Rondello's discussion before the works illuminate the music for listeners, novice and experienced alike.
Described as “fascinating, enthralling, magnetic”, “a virtuoso matching...tremendous, overwhelming complexities...with fiery passion” (The Philippine Star) and "a true tour-de-force such as not often encountered". (Classical Voice of North Carolina), Angelo Rondello is establishing himself as one of the most compelling performers of his generation.
A native of Bellingham, Angelo moved to New York City in 2000 where he completed his musical training and began his career as a performer and teacher. He recently returned to Seattle, where he enjoys an active schedule of concerts and teaching.
