Tent City3 is an encampment of approximately 100 homeless people who live in tents and who survive with the assistance of churches such as ours, who host their visits, and the help of local community members who provide help in various forms.  July through September 2007 was the sixth time Haller Lake UMC hosted this community, and we are honored to continue this tradition.

Currently, Tent City3 needs non-perishable food, sandwiches, ice, fruit, ready-made snacks, coffee, sugar, creamer, juice, hot dogs, luncheon meat, cheese, chili, microwaveable frozen meals or other packaged meals, prepared salads, tarps, tents, wood pallets (to get tents off the ground/pavement), duct tape, batteries, and personal hygiene items.

We at Haller Lake UMC are grateful to the residents of Tent City3 for putting a human face on the problem of homelessness in Seattle/King County. We support them as part of our ministry to those whom Jesus called "the least of these."
